Getting Involved

We are sometimes asked why we help dogs in Sarajevo, Bosnia, when there are lots of dogs needing help in the UK. The answer is simple: life for dogs in Bosnia is far, far worse then it is in the UK.  There are not thousands of homeless dogs roaming the streets of UK cities, towns and countrysides. The UK also has the RSPCA, Dogs Trust and countless other dog rescue groups dedicated to saving dogs in need.

There are thousands of desperate dogs living on the streets in Sarajevo and Bosnia does not have groups such as the RSPCA rescuing dogs -- it is all up to individual rescuers such as Milena Malesevic to feed and care for them.  Shelters in Bosnia are corrupt and the dogs are systematically starved, tortured and killed by those who were meant to help them.

We do what we do because love and caring know no borders.

We are always looking for volunteers to join our friendly group!  There are lots of ways to get involved:

  • help with the Facebook pages
  • run a raffle
  • hold a fundraising event
  • make things to sell in the shop or on-line auctions
  • donate items for the shop or on-line auctions
  • donate needed items such as flea and tick medication

‚ÄčWe are always open to new ideas and we would love to hear from you!
