The Forever Centre

THE FOREVER CENTRE

We are thrilled to share with you our plans as Saving Suffering Strays will be raising the funds to buy a new facility for Milena and her dogs following on from the OAT 100 campaign of 2019. Saving Suffering Strays worked alongside Olsen Animal Trust and Just For Dogs Derby to help over 120 dogs find their forever homes. The new facility itself will enable Saving Suffering Strays to rehouse Milena and the younger dogs that she currently cares for in her 12th floor apartment. The premises will also provide purpose built housing for puppies, a quarantine unit and basic treatment room for sick dogs. Additionally, it will provide indoor/outdoor accommodation for the dogs in our care who need life-time sanctuary.

THE FOREVER CENTRE

Thanks to a phenomenally successful ‘Evening at Burgh House’ hosted by our patron Peter Egan with Rick Wakeman and Jon Culshaw in London, Saving Suffering Strays launched a life changing auction to raise funds for a new facility in Bosnia for Milena and her street dogs.

From bricks to tiles, wardrobes to washing machines, taps to dog bowls, and everything in between, each item was available to bid on. It was a phenomenal success and the auction for life raised enough to purchase the interiors for the kitchen, a bathroom, and shower room, along with having the initial funds of £1000 to build a specialised puppy facility!

THE FOREVER CENTRE

With additional donations since the launch our current total stands at £39,000. In order to reach our first round goal of £60,000 and fund the rest of the facility, we are going to be launching a series of events over the next few months, starting with our ‘Buy A Brick’ appeal, to achieve our goal and we very much hope you will JOIN US ON THIS JOURNEY!

From all at Saving Suffering Strays, we want to thank you for your continued support. It really does mean the world to Milena, her dogs and all of the team working to support them.
