If you think you could foster one of our dogs, or would simple like more information on the fostering process, just send us and email: enquiries@savingsufferingstrays.com

When you foster one of our dogs it frees up room in our kennels so that we can rescue even more dogs from the harsh streets of Sarajevo. We urgently need fosterers who are willing to foster our dogs and help them find their forever homes. As a fosterer you will be giving your foster dog a chance to live in a home and adjust to life outside of a kennel. Even though our kennel owners provide our dogs with the very best care, every dog deserves to experience what its like to live in a home.

Fostering can help rehabilitate a dog that has spent most of its life living on the streets. Many dogs have never experienced an evironment outside of a kennel, and simple everyday things like going for a walk or playing with a ball will be completely new to a rescue dog. A fosterer can provide our dogs with all the love and attention their deserve and get them ready for their forever homes. Dogs that have been fostered are more adoptable because they have adjusted to living in a home and the fosterer can provide the potential adopter with a first hand account of the dog in their care.
Not all of our dogs cope well in a kennel environment and therefore we need fosterers who can provide our dogs with one-on-one attention and care. We have many different types of dogs that can live with other dogs or ones that a better-suited on their own.
